Zeiss LSM 880 Airyscan
Zeiss LSM 880 Confocal with Airyscan
The Zeiss LSM 880 is inverted confocal laser scanning microscope with Airyscan. This system is equipped with a unique scan head, incorporating a high-speed galvo scanner along with two PMTs and a 32 channel GaAsP-PMT area detector as well as a transmitted light PMT for DIC imaging. In addition, the Airyscan detector provides sub-diffraction limited imaging down to 140 nm (XY) and 400 nm (Z) resolution.
System Configuration:
- Light source: Halogen lamp for bright-field microscopy, mercury lamp (X-Cite series 120 PC) for direct visualization of fluorescent specimens through the eyepiece
- Fluorescence Filters cube for eyepiece viewing DAPY, FITC (green), DsRed, and Polarization
- Laser Lines: Diode 405nm, Argon (458, 488, 514 nm), DPSS 561 nm, HeNe 633nm
- Objectives: 10x/0.3 Dry, 25x?08 Dry, 20x/0.8 Dry, 40x/1.2 oil, 63x/1.4 Oil
- Detectors: 2PMTs for fluorescence )ch1, ch3), 1 GaAs (ch2), Airyscan detector (chA), 1 PMT for Differential Interference Contrast (DIC) (T-PMT)
- Motorized X, Y stage and Z galvo focusing stage
- Incubation chamber x that allows for regulation of temperature, CO2 for live cell imaging
- Acquisition software: Zen Black (Zen 2.3)
