The fire alarm system includes pull stations, annunciators and strobes, heat detectors, smoke detectors and sprinklers.
If an alarm sounds, everyone is required to leave the building. Doing so allows fire fighters to concentrate on the cause of the alarm and assures safety in the event of a second emergency.
Rate-of-rise heat detectors are triggered by quickly elevating temperatures, instead of high temperatures. Be sure not to use equipment that is a major source of heat directly under any of the detectors.
