Cold Plate and Embedding Processor
The Leica EG1130 cold plate is used in the histology laboratory for cooling embedding molds and paraffin blocks. The EG1130 can handle up to 60 blocks at a time, while the cooling surface temperature can be selected between –5 and –15 °C. A powerful compressor runs the cooling system.
The Leica EG1150H is a heated paraffin dispensing module for liquid paraffin with a spacious heated working surface and storage capabilities for both cassettes and molds. All functions of the EG1150H are controlled through the easy-to-read LED display, including temperature settings for left and right hand warming trays, paraffin reservoir, and working surface. Cassette and mold warming trays are interchangeable to accommodate changes in embedding workflow.
